“Mutahid”: On the UAE’s 53rd National Day, the UAE and US are United

On December 2, the UAE Embassy celebrated its 53rd National Day. The theme for this year's event was "Mutahid” (United), symbolizing the strong bonds and unity that define the relationship between the UAE and the United States.

In his remarks to guests, Ambassador Yousef Al Otaiba reflected on the historic visit to the US earlier this year by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and noted the deep bonds between the UAE and US.

“Even as we celebrate, we also remember, and we recommit. We rededicate ourselves to being UNITED, to being MUTAHID. Two countries together – rejecting extremism and embracing peace, acceptance, and compassion. This must be our collective promise, our united promise. I am extremely confident that our relationship will only grow stronger in 2025 and the years ahead – fueled by our shared vision of the future.” – Ambassador Al Otaiba

The Embassy’s National Day celebration was a vibrant showcase of Emirati culture, featuring traditional music and dancers and Emirati-American influenced cuisine by Chef Meera Al Naqbi, and attended by US government officials, business and community leaders and members of the diplomatic community.
