Saturday Edition
Good morning members, and welcome to another stellar Saturday! What are everyone’s plans today? Staying in and trying out some hacks? Or are you out nabbing some great deals? As many of you know, we have plenty of all of the above on our website, so a trip over there is an excellent place to start! 😉 Anyway, we have a ton of stories waiting for you lot to dive right into, so get yourself comfortable, maybe alongside a
cuppa and a couple of cheeky bikkies.
To start things off, let’s dig into the answer to yesterday’s riddle! Let’s remind ourselves of it, shall we?
I may be light as a feather, but almost no one can hold me for very long. What am I?
Oh my goodness, you guys absolutely nailed this one. The answer to this one is, of course, breath! But we also received other creative answers such as bubbles and thoughts that work too! Well, as promised, for those who got the correct answer, you have a shoutout waiting for you down below! Enjoy it, folks, you earned it.
Now for the next segment of our Saturday schedule, we have our ‘What Would the Grandkids Say?’ segment.
For today we are taking a look at the phrase ‘sending me.’ These days anything can be ‘sending you,’ meaning it thrills or excites you. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the phrase originated around 1930. It was most often applied to music that could ‘transport or arouse emotions’ or ‘enthral.’ Today, it can allude to something or someone sending you into a state of laughter. When something makes you laugh, you can say that it is ‘sending me.’ So, the next time your grandkid tells a (good)
joke, you can tell them that the joke is sending you.
Oh, just one more thing before we get into the news, check out today’s Aldi Special Buys! There are a bunch of goodies here folks, so be sure to check them out!
