Spotlight on our
Saturday Family Playgroup
Our Saturday playgroup is for families that can't access playgroup during the week. We welcome families of any structure - Mums, dads, grandparents, carers and their little ones.
Play activities are aimed at children aged 0-5. Babies are catered for and older children are welcome.
A New Partnership
The Multicultural Resources Hub is now co-located at Goonawarra Neighbourhood House two days a week on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
This is an excellent resource for the House and, as the community grows, it provides us with a new avenue to reach out to community members from other cultures.
Going forward you can expect to see us collaborating to bring you activities that are culturally friendly, such as the new Seniors Connect monthly social program.
Social Worker onsite
"Give Until it Hurts"(GUIH) is kindly providing social work assistance to help community members with the following issues:
- Initial assessment (identification of needs and referrals to support services).
- Income support via Centrelink and welfare referrals.
- Housing inquiries and homeless outreach support and referrals.
- Unsupported Young People (18 to 21 years old) case work support.
- Social case work for individuals and families - based on solution-focused and strength-based approach.
- General counselling support.
- Advocacy.

This program is run by volunteers who are kindly donating their time to support our community.
Equipment available for hire
Enhance your next children's party with either a session of rhythm games on African drums, or outdoor games or both. Details on our website or contact us for more information.
