"Just As I Am," a project in Partnership with Randy Bacon of 7 Billion Ones and Down Syndrome Innovations, invites us to view the world through the lens of someone living with Down syndrome.

This project’s aim is to create awareness and a better understanding of Down syndrome through raw, authentic stories, intimate portraiture and short film series, as to change the way we see those with Down syndrome.

Join Us for Our Spring Parent / Caregiver Roundtables!

(Virtual)

Our Spring Parent/Caregiver Roundtables provide an opportunity to get together and ask questions; share resources; and build connections with other parents and caregivers. These groups will run from 5 to 6:00 pm beginning April 14th, but parents and caregivers are more than welcome to continue the conversation with others beyond the official end time.

Topics

  • April 14th: Collaborating with your school team
  • April 28th: Sibling relationships
  • May 12th: Planning and dreaming for the future
  • May 26th: Responding to behavior in the home

These groups are held on the off weeks of our Children’s In-Person Social Group, and will be hosted virtually in order to allow flexibility for parents and caregivers. Your child does not have to be attending the Children’s In-Person Group or any other services for you to attend our Virtual Parent and Caregiver Roundtables.

NOTE: due to the generous support of our donors and grantors, these events are complimentary/FREE for our families.
