Wednesday Edition
Hip, hip, hooray! We’re halfway through the week, dear members, and it’s almost time for the Easter long weekend! And that means delicious food, cosy gatherings, and hopefully some time to relax and unwind! For me (Vella), Easter has always been a time for feasting and indulging in all of my favourite treats. I'm already thinking about all the chocolate bunnies I'll enjoy over the long weekend. But it's not all about chocolate! Easter is also a great opportunity to gather around the table with loved ones and share a delicious meal together. What will you be cooking this Easter?
I know that this time of year can also be tough on the wallet, so I'm looking for cheap and easy Easter recipes that won't break the bank. Do you have some go-to cheap Easter recipes you can share with us? Maybe it's an easy pasta dish or a simple yet delicious dessert that won't require any fancy ingredients. I'll be honest; I'm not the most skilled chef in the kitchen, so the simpler, the better. If you've got any cheap and easy Easter recipes you'd like to share, head over to our forum thread here. I'd love to hear your ideas!
But before we get into our Easter preparations, let's start our Wednesday with the usual – the weekly deals from Coles, Woolworths, ALDI, and IGA. There are some great Easter specials at most stores, so make sure you check them out.
And, of course, it wouldn’t be Wednesday without our second riddle of the week! Ready for a head-scratcher? Here it is:
My tongue is long, my breath is strong, And yet I breed no strife; My voice you hear is far and near, and yet I have no life. What am I?
Intrigued? We knew you would be! If you think you've got the answer, head on over to our riddle masters thread here. As always, those who crack the code correctly will receive a special shout-out in tomorrow's newsletter! Good luck!
Oh, and before we get into the news, don't forget to play our newest game: SDC Bingo! Please read Jonathan's instructions first if you're new to
the game. Today's numbers are I21, B3, and G58. Remember, you need an account on the forum to join, so if you don't have one already, register here!
Now, let's catch up on what's happening in Australia and around the world today.
