Thursday Edition
Goooood bloody morning to you members! Maddie here, it’s been a while since I’ve written a newsletter introduction for you all, but my goodness, it feels good to be back on the keyboard (the computer one, I don’t know how to play the instrument keyboard thing). I hope you’re all safe and well, and for all our NSW and Queensland members I just want to say my thoughts are with you and your family. It's been a crazy few years for us all and it just breaks my heart to know that you’re all facing yet another crisis. The team and I want to do some good, and although we’ve donated some money to some charities, I want to know what we can do that’s going to immediately make your lives better? So reach out if you need, we are here to help.
But let’s do what we do best and create a little escape from reality for us all eh? First things first, the answer to yesterday’s riddle! For those of you who don’t remember, here’s how it went:
I am a protector. I sit on a bridge. One person can see right through me, while others wonder what I hide. What am I?
The answer? A pair of sunglasses! A fair few of you managed to crack this one, so well done! As always, you have been treated to a shout out further down in the email, you deserve it, that one was a tough one.
Now it’s time for our fascinating fact! I thought I’d do something nice and tie our little fun fact in with the fact I’m back typing up the email intro. So I went online to find ‘fun keyboard facts’ and much to my dismay, I discovered that keyboards are actually five times dirtier than toilets, apparently you should clean your keyboard at least once a month, and I don’t think I’ve ever cleaned mine in my life. Great, not-so-fun fascinating fact for you all. Maybe give your keyboard a clean? Apparently disinfectant wipes are best!
Now, enough about my filthy keyboard, let’s get into the news for today, shall we?
-
Ah dear. An American woman has sparked a huge debate online about Bunnings sausage sangas and wow she’s got some nerve on her.
-
Well I’m bloody glad I found out this fact today. Did you know what the different coloured price tags at Aldi mean? This one’s a life changer.
-
Speaking of Aldi, one shopper has been slammed for being an ‘entitled princess’ after demanding her local Aldi do this for her.
-
Oh wow, Aldi is in the spotlight this morning, after this woman revealed her ”genius” shopping trick that has changed the grocery game.
-
Dr. Karl has revealed what cracking your knuckles actually does to your joints, busting the age old myth of knuckle cracking and arthritis.
-
One organised mum has revealed how she preps 90 meals (yes that isn’t a typo, 90) for her family a month in advance…
-
It’s no secret grocery prices are through the roof, so this woman has revealed a hack for making 8 family dinners for only $100, that’s $3 a
serve.
-
A 25-year-old woman who hasn’t eaten fruit or vegetables in 23 years has turned down over $1,000 to eat a single pea, claiming she survives on this junk food only.
-
Neighbours are like family right? Well not these two. One woman has caught her neighbour throwing (let me check my notes, oh yes) dog poo, on her driveway repeatedly.
-
And last, but certainly not least, one Aussie mum is urging other parents to be cautious with their baby car seats after her gorgeous son is fighting for his life after a horrific car accident. Share this message with your loved ones, members.
And that’s a wrap for today’s news ladies and gents. Please do share that last story around if you can, we need to be so careful with our kids and grandkids in the car! As always, we aren’t done with you yet, be sure to check out today’s trivia and our grand(dad) joke of the day for a good laugh!
Most importantly, stay safe and happy reading you lot!
- Jonathan, Vella, Sean, James & Maddie.

Who remembers getting told “you are not to leave this dinner table until you finish your dinner”? Gosh, there was no alternative meal option, it was sit there and eat it or you’ll end up sleeping at the dinner table tonight. My mum used to even reserve us our dinner from the night before for breakfast if we didn’t eat it!

If you haven’t noticed that Aldi uses yellow price tags, one with black writing and the other in red, then I don’t blame you because you aren’t alone. However, now you do know, it’s most certainly something you should keep an eye out for! It turns out, the different coloured price tags reveal whether or not a product is an ‘Aldi core product’ or is available for ‘a limited time only’. Aldi also uses a lettering system to let you know whether a product is staying, or whether it’s being discontinued. For all Aldi price tag information, click the button below.

Quilton 4 Ply Absorba Paper Towel (60 Sheets/Roll) 12pk $13 @ Amazon AU
I don’t know about you members, but I’m an avid paper towel user. I use them when heating up food in the microwave (so the food doesn’t splatter everywhere), I use them to clean my kitchen bench tops, my mirrors, and so much more. So when I saw this Amazon deal to get a 12 pack of paper towels for only $13 I jumped at it! At $1.08 per roll, the price doesn’t get much better than this!

3 x Cadbury Caramello Easter Egg Bag 110g $12 @ Catch*
I won’t lie to you members, I pretty much just included these because 1. I love chocolate, 2. I think chocolate in easter egg form tastes better than any other chocolate on planet earth and 3. $12 for 3 bags is actually a hell of a lot cheaper than what I’ve been getting these for at Coles or Woolies. So why not treat yourself, your grandkids, or stock up for this coming easter with a few bags of these Caramello Easter eggs!

On Target
How about this photo posted on our photography forum by member Ron! He captioned it: “I was a member of the Adelaide Archery Club for 40 years, had to retire last year due to my rotten spine. I hadn't been able to shoot for 20 years anyway. This pic was taken 12 years ago. A lot of really bad shots looking at all the holes way out from the gold but these targets are also used at beginner classes which explains it. The pic was taken at a normal Saturday shoot.” It’s an incredible photograph, Ron! Thanks for sharing.
