Friday Edition
Rise and shine, members, and a happy Good Friday to you all! Can you smell that heavenly aroma of freshly toasted hot cross buns wafting through the air? Mmm, I (Vella) sure can! I have my hot cross bun in one hand and a steaming cup of hot chocolate in the other. Yum, what more could you want?
Today is the start of a long Easter weekend. For those of you who are hitting the road for a short holiday, have a blast and safe travels! Ensure you’ve packed all the essentials - snacks, water, music, sunscreen, and hats! And remember, safety comes first, so make sure you take plenty of breaks and don’t forget to stretch your legs when driving! For those staying at home and spending time with loved ones, I hope you have an egg-citing Easter weekend filled with laughter, good food, and precious memories. And if you’re planning to do some last-minute grocery shopping, make sure to check this trading hours guide for all your favourite stores to know which stores will be closed today so you can plan your shopping trips accordingly and avoid any unnecessary stress.
Alright, let’s dive into today’s newsletter, shall we? As always, we have the third and final riddle for the week!
I am a 5-letter word. Take away the first letter, and I am a place's name. Take away the first two letters, and I become the opposite of the 5-letter word. What am I?
Now that’s one good riddle, eh? I’ll be looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this one. You know the drill, if you think you know the answer, head over to the riddle masters thread here. Just a heads up that we, unfortunately, won’t be doing our usual shout-outs over the long weekend because Maddie is running the SDC alone! But don’t worry, she’ll still be giving you the correct answer tomorrow! We will, of course, be back to our normal riddle masters shout-outs in the newsletters next week when the whole team is back
from their long weekend break.
