Each year, All For Kids supports a slate of bills and budget positions designed to build momentum around more prevention.

Looking back on the year, we are proud of our efforts to safeguard critical state programs that prevent abuse and nurture child well-being.

ADVOCACY OVERVIEW - CALIFORNIA

  • Boosted childcare and preschool capacity
  • Secured longer-running early development programs
  • Protected the family crisis intervention hotline
  • Supported Foster Family Agencies dealing with rising costs
  • Improved training to better connect families with supports

However, we are disheartened by actions at the federal level that will further destabilize our most vulnerable families.

ADVOCACY OVERVIEW - FEDERAL

  • Massive reductions in Medicaid and children’s mental healthcare
  • Bureaucratic red tape separating eligible families from benefits
  • Damaging cutbacks to food assistance programs

As we move towards the coming year – the voices of those fighting for a world where every child is safe to grow are needed now more than ever. Please visit allforkids.org/advocacy for effective advocacy tools and links to contact your local elected officials.
