Saturday Edition
Welcome to another fabulous Saturday, members! We hope you’re all feeling well and have had a great week. If not, don’t worry, because the weekend is here, which means you can put your feet up and relax!
We have a lot of things in store for you today, but first, let’s take a look at the answer to yesterday’s riddle!
Magician Mephisto Mountebank has devised an ingenious way of arranging seven matches so that they equal the number 1221. “I neither bend them nor break them,” he says proudly. How is it done?
Did you get it? The answer is that you arrange the seven matches like this: 11 X 111, so they equal 1221. We have to admit, this one had us stumped too. But of course, a few of you came through and got the answer correct! If you did, give yourself a pat on the back and head further down in the email, where you’ll find a shoutout waiting just for you.
Now, onto our next segment for the day, ‘What Would the Grandkids Say’. Today we’re looking at the term ‘IYKYK’, which stands for ‘if you know, you know.’ This term is used when something is only relatable to a certain group of people. It's used to refer to drama, inside jokes, or scenes from movies or TV shows that are only understood by those who have seen them. For example, if you say, "The new Star Wars movie is amazing." “IYKYK,” only those who have seen the film will know how amazing it is.
Try using this term next time you’re talking to your grandkids and see if they can figure out what you’re talking about!
Oh, one more thing before we get into the news, check out today’s Aldi Special Buys! There are some great deals this week, so don’t forget to browse them!

Oh, this photo brings back so many memories. Sunday was always a family day at home back in the day. We all had small jobs to do, such as helping in the garden and around the house. Then we'd have a roast for lunch followed by games or a drive. Those were the days.

Herodotus (c. 484 – 425/413 BCE) was a Greek writer who invented the field of study known today as `history'. He was called `The Father of History' by the Roman writer and orator Cicero for his famous work The Histories but has also been called “The Father of Lies” by critics who claim these `histories' are little more than tall tales.
