Today’s ‘Yesterday’s Australia’ segment is brought to you by the lovely member @Georged. ‘My country uncle, managing a large sheep station south of Gundagai, says: "Get out of there - come down to the farm". So we do, mother and two sons. I am three and a half. Come June 4th, it's my fourth birthday. I walk into the big country kitchen and there on the table is a cake with four candles. My aunt says: "When you're four, you're a man!" Just then three big piggery workers came into the kitchen, so I lifted my shoulders and tried to talk real big, because, after all, I was a man now! It's a video in my head.’
This is such a lovely memory, @Georged. Thank you so much for sharing this with us all! I like the idea of ‘when you’re four, you’re a man!’

Spotted Pardalote male on the attack
How awesome is this action shot posted on our forum. @Brian (the old bloke) posted this along with the caption, ‘Yesterday I managed to get this photo of a male Spotted Pardalote attacking his reflection in a window. The bird is actually much smaller than a sparrow but he wants HIS territory. Taken at Gowrie in Canberra. Sorry about the rose bush that cuts him in half.’ This is such a great photograph, thank you so much for sharing it with us all!
