Hey, hey, hey! Happy Thursday, members! How’s everyone doing today? I (Vella) am feeling much better now. I took a long nap yesterday and slept through the evening until this morning, so I’m feeling kind of hungry. Speaking of food, I remember asking you folks yesterday, ‘If you could only eat one type of food for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?’ and let me tell you, reading your responses made me even more hungry! I can’t stop thinking about that one person who said T-bone steak. My mouth is watering just
thinking about it. Someone mentioned Thai food, and now I’m craving some delicious Pad Thai. If you haven’t shared your answer yet, please do so in our forum thread here, so we can all drool together over each other’s favourite foods. Who knows, maybe you’ll get some inspiration for your next meal!
Now, onto another fun question for today: If you could switch lives with any fictional character, who would it be and why? Imagine the possibilities! Would you want to be the adventurous and daring Indiana Jones or maybe the suave and charismatic James Bond? I can’t wait to hear your answers! Share your answers in our forum thread here.
Before we jump into today's exciting content, let's solve yesterday's riddle! Now, what was it again?
What’s the least number of chairs you would need around a table to sit four fathers, two grandfathers, and four sons?
The answer is four! Why? Because the grandfathers are also fathers, and all the men are sons. So two chairs each for grandfathers and two more for fathers. As expected, a ton of you got the answer correct, and you know what that means, right, folks? You get a shout-out! So stick around, and you’ll find a shout-out at the end of the newsletter.
Next on the agenda for today, it’s time to share with you a Fascinating Fact!
Have you ever had the desire to enjoy just a few bites of your favourite treat, only to find yourself devouring the entire thing? Then, you can say ‘shemomechama’! This word, originating from Georgia with no direct English equivalent, translates to ‘I accidentally ate the whole thing.’ I can't remember how many times I would have used this word. 😂 How's that for a Thursday fact?
Alright, folks, time to check out what's happening in Australia and around the world today.

Ah, Vicks VapoRub - Aussie mum’s go-to remedy for a cold or congestion. As a child, whenever I got sick, my mum immediately rubbed it on my chest, back, and neck. It was like magic - within minutes, my breathing would clear up, and I could finally get some rest. The menthol-y scent, the cool tingle on your skin, and the way it made your eyes water were all part of the Vicks experience. Even as an adult, I reach for that little blue jar whenever I’m feeling under the weather. It’s like a warm hug from my mother, even when she’s not around. Do you have any fond memories of this childhood staple? Share them in our forum here. Also, if you have any photos of objects from your childhood, don’t be afraid to share them with us here on our forum.

POOPS Dog Walkers
Today’s lovely picture is thanks to our dear member @Leonard Hall. It’s of the Busselton POOPS dog walkers group - and no, I’m not kidding about the name! POOPS stands for Pets Of Older Persons, a not-for-profit organisation run entirely by volunteers that provides a fee-free pet care service for elderly or disabled pet owners. This particular snap is from their Christmas fundraiser on the beach, and it’s
just too adorable not to share. According to member @Leonard Hall, WA POOPS has been going for over ten years now, and they have over 1000 walkers in Perth. While in Busselton, they have been operating for over three years and have over 100 walkers. WOW! Hats off to member @Leonard Hall and the entire POOPS group for all they do and for sharing this wonderful photo with us. Members, do you have a photograph you would like featured in our newsletter? Well, don’t be shy! Post it on our forum here.
