Welcome to issue 16 of Crash Towing Industry News.

Our regular newsletters provide important updates about the crash towing industry reforms including legislative changes that may affect how you operate. 

On 10 January 2025, new requirements for crash towing came into effect. This week, we’re sharing important information about how the Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC) can support your business.

SBDC is a government agency that offers a range of free advice and low-cost services to support small businesses throughout Western Australia. 

What support is available?

Financial support:
The SBDC aids with various financial issues for small businesses such managing your business finances, business finance and loans, small business grants, financial planning, providing credit to customers, tax requirements, tax reporting requirements, tax deductions and concessions, and debt recovery.

Business development:
The SBDC also offers a large amount of assistance through programs for the development of your business such as starting and growing your business, business structures and planning, work health and safety, marketing and digital tools, networking and events, outsourcing and professional services, advisory services, workshops, and through templates, tool and guides. 

The SBDC can provide assistance if you want to change how you are running your business.

Additional programs and resources:
There are plenty of additional programs and resources such as the propelling your business program, the Small Business Development Fund (SBDF), dispute resolutions and mediations, and dealing with commercial tenancy issues, and the small business commissioner who helps resolve business disputes and advocates on behalf of the sector to all levels of government.
