So without further ado, here we go!
Now, let's start off with the answer to yesterday’s puzzling riddle. Here’s a quick recap of exactly what it was.
There is a word that has two opposite meanings. It can refer to a place where things are kept, but it also means to throw things away.
Blimey we had no clue with this one, but it seems quite a few of you picked up that the answer was (drum roll please)... shed! Well that was a bloody tricky one eh? Glad you lot were able to ‘shed’ some light on the answer (apologies but we just had to throw that in there). If you submitted the correct answer, then head down below and check out the list of shoutouts! Your name will be there.
Now then, what’s happening in Australia and around the world today?

Who remembers McCall's famous paper doll, Betsy? These little things provided hours and hours of fun, until the doll would fall apart. Paper dolls kept us amused for hours as kids back in the day...

We all love a good supermarket collectables promotion, whether it’s a toy set or cookware. It turns a once-boring shopping trip into an exciting family outing (at least it does for us). But, these promotions become much more interesting when a supermarket collaborates with a brand to launch their latest collectable range, and that is precisely what Coles has done.
The supermarket chain has teamed up with the Australian cookware brand KitchenAid to offer customers a 'premium collection' of stylish matte black stoneware and cast iron cookware. Beginning in March, customers can earn one of six pieces of matte black stoneware for free, with one of the top items being very similar to one of KitchenAid's other products worth $499.95. Oooh, this is exciting! Click the button below to find out how to get the luxury cookware for free.

Compare Health Cover Now*
Three health insurance rate rises in the space of 18 months are what Aussies are being slapped with after a two year long global pandemic. Aussies were paying an average of $230.26 more for their health insurance after the 2021 price hikes. And now from 1 April 2022, a single person over the age of 65 will pay an additional average of about $75* more per year, with families paying an additional average of about $154* more per year.
What few people realise is that there are government rebates out there that could save you hundreds of dollars per year on your cover*. For eligible Aussies, the starting cost of a combined hospital & extras policy comes in at under $23 / week (or $3.22 per day) once the rebate has been claimed.
See if you're eligible for the latest government rebates to get health insurance from under $23 a week.

Cygnets
Today’s adorable picture is thanks to member @dragonfly9454. They posted this photo in our photography forum as an entry to the SDC photo competition along with the caption, “Mumma (or Dadda) with cygnets. We watched these cygnets from when they were newly hatched till five months later they fledged. I took photos about every four weeks to see their progress. What an amazing trip!”
How lovely is this photo? Thank you so much, @dragonfly9454, for sharing this with us!

A man is sitting on his front veranda staring morosely at the ground when his neighbour strolls over. The neighbour tries to start a conversation several times, but the older man barely responds. Finally, the neighbour asks what the problem is.
"Well," the man says, "I ran afoul of one of those questions women ask. Now I'm in the doghouse."
"What kind of question?" the neighbour asks.

Uncle Sam (which has the same initials as the United States) is a common national personification of the United States federal government. He is a symbol for the US much the same way that John Bull, Blighty, and Britannia are for the United Kingdom.
