MARINE BUSINESS NEWS

NEWS UPDATE

22 March 2024

Publishers note

Those of you who read Marine Business News know that I love the people and historical stories that come our way. This week we share one that I found intriguing. Maritime history shows that with all the good, also come the sad stories of vessels lost at sea with souls on board. In this instance, only 120 years ago 32 lives were lost off the coast of Wollongong. Its wreck was only discovered recently. I hope you enjoy the story.

In other news we report on a successful Auckland Boat Show, share news about the keynote speakers for ASMEX24, report on the recent Offshore Superboats at Geelong, show you pictures of the world’s first electric hydrofoiling ferry in NZ’s Lake Manapōuri, and a whole lot more.

I hope you enjoy this week’s edition of Marine business News.
