"The UAE is All In On American Tech," Says Ambassador Al Otaiba

The first shipments of Nvidia's advanced AI chips have arrived in the UAE. "And more are on the way," Ambassador Al Otaiba announced at the AI+ Expo in Washington. "The future of AI must be grounded in trust. And we are working with the US to build the architecture that makes that principle real.”

At the center of the partnership is the UAE-US AI Campus. G42 is completing the first 200MW of a 5GW facility in Abu Dhabi, with key partners including Microsoft and OpenAI. From Abu Dhabi, American technology will reach roughly half the world's population.

Omran Sharaf, UAE Assistant Foreign Minister for Advanced Science and Technology, reinforced the AI partnership's progress while in Washington, where he met with White House OSTP Director Michael Kratsios, US Chief Technology Officer Ethan Klein and Undersecretary of State Jacob Helberg.

UAE to Double West-East Pipeline Capacity

The UAE announced it will expand the Habshan-Fujairah pipeline that bypasses the Strait of Hormuz, doubling crude oil export capacity via this route. The project aligns with the UAE's plan to reach 5 million barrels per day in production capacity by next year.

"They're great allies of the United States," said US Energy Secretary Chris Wright, commenting on the expansion in an interview with CNBC. "They're key energy suppliers to the world. And we need to see prosperity, peace and economic growth returning to that region."
