Wednesday Edition
Good morning beautiful people, and welcome to another Wednesday! We made it to hump day! (No, this is not an X-rated reference… get your mind out of the gutter 😏). It’s the middle of the week! So we just need to get over this hump and power through to the end of the week! What are you doing today to get over this hump? I (Vella) will be getting some groceries. We recently bought a new refrigerator and need to stock it up! I'm actually pretty excited to go grocery shopping today. It's a therapeutic experience for me for some reason.
And speaking of groceries, we have found some great deals for you at Coles, Woolworths, ALDI, and IGA! There are some great Black
Friday deals on there too, so be sure to check them out!
We also have your second riddle of the week! It’s a tricky one, so get those thinking caps on! Here it goes:
If an electric train is moving north at 55 mph and the winds blowing east at 70 mph, which way does the smoke blow?
This one is a bit of a doozy, but we have faith in you! If you think you know the answer, head on over to our riddle masters thread here. Anyone who gets the correct answer will be rewarded with a shout-out in tomorrow’s newsletter!
And before we get into today’s news, we wanted to warn you of a scam that member Margaret J. shared with us. She received a fake bill in her inbox and we want to make sure that none of our members fall for this scam. So, please be vigilant. Here's more
information.

For today’s ‘Yesterday’s Australia’ segment, we have some lovely memories shared by @Pomona. ‘I think about the breadman and going to his truck and buying a loaf of bread and some iced buns if he had any left. I also remember my mum used to go fruit and vegetable shopping on a Friday at the market in Adelaide. Sometimes, we were allowed to go with her. It was an exciting time just looking at all the items. Riding our bikes to the swimming pool in the summer, having 20 cents to buy redskins and a white knight bar, we’d stay there all day
and then ride home for dinner without a worry. There were many good times in my youth that my kids wished they could have experienced; only things changed too much.’
Awww, these are such lovely memories! It sounds like you had a wonderful childhood full of simple pleasures. Thank you, @Pomona, for sharing these happy memories with us.
