Last week, as the Margaret River Pro got underway in our stunning Margaret River Region, Tourism Western Australia’s new four-year contract for this World Surf League event was announced. As the world’s wave pros continue to compete across the next few days, I am pleased that the event's future has been assured through to 2028. The Pro attracts surfing's global elite and thousands of visitors to the region, so it’s wonderful to again extend our support after proudly sponsoring the event for the past 25 years. From super surfers, to superstar service
at the 2024 AHA Perth Airport Accommodation Awards for Excellence on Monday evening, presented by the Australian Hotels Association (WA). The annual awards, supported by Tourism WA, provide a valuable opportunity to recognise WA’s leading accommodation providers, hotel restaurants and hospitality venues, as well as superb events and guest services, and the hotel staff and teams who are setting the bar for exceptional visitor experiences. The 2024 event included six new awards, including the inaugural Emerging Female Leader Award, which was won by Murphy Loh from The Ritz-Carlton, Perth. A special mention must also go to the Managing Director of Duxton Hotel
