Decked out in red-white-and-blue, the parade route was packed with spectators eager to watch the procession down Cherry Lane to Village Hall. Later that night, the sky lit up in bright, mesmerizing colors for the Northbrook Fireworks Display.

REMINDER: VEHICLE STICKERS AND PET TAG DEADLINE
Vehicle stickers and pet tags for Northbrook residents are now on sale and must be renewed before they expire on July 31, 2025. Renewals can be completed online, by mail, via the Village Hall drop box, or in person at Village Hall during regular business hours. First-time pet tag applicants are required to apply in person or by mail and must provide a current rabies vaccination certificate and proof of spay or neuter, if applicable.
NORTHBROOK FIRE DEPARTMENT HOSTS HAZARDOUS MATERIALS DRILL
When seconds count, preparation matters. The Northbrook Fire Department recently hosted a large-scale, multi-agency drill to simulate a hazardous materials response—testing first responders in a realistic, high-stakes scenario. From smoke-filled environments to full HazMat gear, see how crews worked together to assess, contain, and resolve the simulated chemical leak.

Northbrook Grand Prix
Thursday, July 24 from 11am-8pm
Northbrook hosts a leg of Chicago Grit, the nation’s largest road racing series, on Thursday, July 24. Cyclists from around the world will race through downtown in thrilling high-speed criterium races. The 1.1-kilometer course loops around Village Green Park, showcasing Northbrook’s strong cycling community and the historic Ed Rudolph Velodrome. Learn more at chicago-grit.com.
National Night Out

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships. The night includes DJ entertainment, giveaways, swimming, snacks, popsicles, drinks, games, raffles, K9 demonstrations, and more.
