The next edition of this free 10-week program is tailored to suit Western Australian small-to medium‑sized enterprises (SMEs) working on innovative ideas in agriculture and food. The self-paced program will build your skills to help you refine your innovation idea and turn this into a R&D opportunity. Key program outcomes include assessing the value of your innovation, work out your collaborative options, compose a high impact R&D business case and prepare a funding application. In 2023, both goods and services experienced the slowest expansion in the past 50 years outside of recessionary periods, barely achieving an estimated 0.2% increase. While trade in services managed some growth, preventing a decline, trade in goods shrank by a significant 2%, marking the steepest contraction outside of a global recession in this century. Although some improvement is expected in 2024, trade growth will remain subdued, reaching only half the average rate observed in the pre-pandemic decade. This slow pace is projected to continue for the next few years, resulting in the weakest five-year period for global trade growth since the 1990s. More...
