Dear Parents & Carers,I would like to start by thanking everyone who attended or supported our Easter Quiz event at Bude Rugby Club at the beginning of the month. Thanks to all of your help, we raised £410 for the setting which will go towards new resources for the children. We have lots of exciting things planned for the children in May - we are particularly looking forward to the Afternoon Tea Party on Thursday 4th May (1:30-2:30pm) to celebrate the King's Coronation. We are also holding a Sensory Play session on Tuesday 2nd May, which is open to all. Please do continue to share the details of our new Holiday Club with family and friends that may be interested - the details of which you can view by clicking here. Lastly, just a polite reminder that the setting will be closed on Monday 1st, 8th and 29th May bank holidays. With kind regards, Tahira White Early Years Manager The sunshine has arrived! We've been making the most of the sunny days in our outside areas - here are some of the pre-schoolers who were desperate to have a quick play in the under 3s garden. As the weather continues to improve, please can parents and carers supply a sun hat, suncream and a change of clothes to the setting? Please apply suncream before arrival at the setting, and we can reapply throughout the day as needed. Our new Holiday ClubIf you haven't already seen the details of our new Holiday Club - please take a look. We are offering full day and half day spaces to children up to 8 years of age, with a variety of activities including cooking, sensory play, construction, painting, clay plus trips to Crooklets beach (depending on staffing levels and weather conditions). Painting in the gardenOur budding artists have enjoyed the warmer weather, and have been practicing their painting skills out in the garden. Spare socksPlease can all parents and carers ensure that their child/ren always have a spare pair of socks in their bag? Also, we would be very grateful for donations of any socks that you no longer use. Thank you in advance. Learning about EidWe've been learning about Muslim families going to Mosque to pray, and donating money to different charities, being grateful for all their blessing. Families celebrate Eid after the end of Ramadan. Families wish each other 'Eid Mubarak', buy gifts, visit extended family and friends and share a huge feast which often includes rice, meat, vegetable dishes, samosas, pakoras, onion bhaji, and lots of delicious desserts. Kind Regards, Tahira White Early Years Manager Designated Safeguarding Lead |
