Wednesday Edition
Well, hello there, members! It's good to see you on this fine Wednesday morning. How are you all today? I (Vella) hope you all had a great night's sleep and feel refreshed and ready to take on the day! How am I doing? Well, I'm just here sitting in my seat, trying my best not to move because my muscles are aching from the weekend's activities (yes, still!) I tried boxing for the first time, and oh my goodness, was it intense. I couldn't even stand upright for the first few days! I was laughing at myself because I felt like passing out after the warm-up! Just the warm-up, can you believe it? It's interesting how easy it is to watch a professional boxer do it, but it is so much harder when you're doing it, not to mention the training that goes into it! So kudos to all the professional boxers out there, I don’t plan on becoming one any time soon. 😉
But, of course, I didn't get out of the gym without a fight. I was able to power through the five sparring rounds and managed to survive without any injuries. So I guess it was a success! I'm aching, but I'm proud of myself. As the cliche goes, no pain, no gain! Is there something you want to try but are scared to take the plunge? If so, I urge you to just go for it! It's always good to get out of our comfort zone and try something new. Who knows, you might surprise yourself and might even enjoy it!
Now, let's move on to today's activities. First, we have your Coles, Woolies, ALDI and IGA deals for the week. Check them out and see how much money you can save this week!
Next, of course, we have your second riddle for the week. This one’s tricky, so put your thinking caps on and see if you can figure it out! Here it goes:
Name an eight-letter word that has kst in the middle, in the beginning, and at the end. What is it?
Oooh, this one is a real brain teaser! If you think you know the answer, head on over to our riddle masters thread here. Anyone who gets the answer correct will be rewarded with a shout-out in tomorrow’s newsletter!

Who remembers these old stamp vending machines? Before mobile phones, writing letters was a popular way to stay in touch. And thanks to stamp vending machines, people could quickly and easily purchase stamps for their letters. They were usually found outside the Post Office, dispensing stamps one at a time, and were a lifesaver for those of us in a hurry to get a letter in the mail. Do you remember these?
