Welcome to your moment to ROAR!
Issue # 20

Dear Friend,

Happy August!

To my fellow Virgos, Happy Birthday!

Every year, when August rolls around, I take an inventory of my year long goals (I actually do it monthly)!

Many of you know about my personal milestone of hiking to the Everest Base Camp and running the Tenzing Hillary Marathon down. This may not be how you want to celebrate your birthday, but what is your plan?

This month, we continue to respond to your interests with some health insights from Dr. Mark Lachs and Dr. Daisy Robinton. We also have some great midlife financial tips from Voya Financial, underscoring the importance of owning your numbers!

Our Re-Imagineers include author Christine Barker (first-time author at 50+) and Bill Konowitz, who will inspire you with his newfound passion that has turned into a new career at 70!

At ROAR, we celebrate the New Longevity in all of its forms. If you are 50 and healthy, you may live to 90 or older. What does your favorite future look like and what are you doing about it? That is what we are all about; showing you the Re-Imagineers who rewrite the script for what it means to live longer, vibrant lives.

At ROARforward.com, we've had an incredible first year with over 25 corporate partners from multiple industries who are engaging with us on many fronts. They are subscribers to the ROAR Report and Bulletins, engaging us in their New Longevity strategies and sponsoring our ROAR events and Summit that will happen this fall.

Our most recent event showcased four amazing female entrepreneurs in the age tech space. Moderated by Tamsen Fadal, the lunchtime audience of 60+ individuals learned about Tally Health, Wellthy, ZAGE, and an idea from this year's first-place winner of the Stanford Center on Longevity Design Challenge!

The ROAR forward Summit: Reimagine the Second Half of Life will take place on November 9 in New York City. We will offer a fixed amount of complimentary tickets via a sweepstake to subscribers of this newsletter.

I'll be heading to Santa Fe, New Mexico to celebrate my birthday (which is actually today, the day that you are receiving this month's newsletter) with family and friends. Santa Fe is a place that continues to feed my soul. I love to hike to the top of Atalaya, run the trails with Emily and spend the evening enjoying the incredible sunsets in my adopted hometown (margaritas anyone?).

Thanks for joining our ROAR community and please share this newsletter with those in your circle. And if you want more then follow me on LinkedIn or the ROAR forward Facebook page.

Until next time,

Michael

P.S. This fall, we will also launch a ROAR webinar series for employers who want to bring inspiration and personal development to their employees who are in midlife. Reach out if you want to learn more.
