"We all wear a smile underneath" - Understanding PPE
Visiting a health service can be a scary time for children and research into their experiences of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) during the COVID-19 Pandemic found that creating child-friendly resources eases their anxiety about the current, challenging world we are living in.
That’s why the Women’s and Children’s Health Network has developed a new video for kids to help normalise what PPE is and learn that we all wear a smile underneath.
We recently launched WCH@Home, an inpatient unit with a difference. The “bed” is the patient’s own and our dedicated team of doctors, nurses and GP specialists provide care to children at home, 7 days a week.
