Tuesday Edition
Good morning lovely people! Welcome to another wonderful Tuesday, or as I (Vella) like to call it, Choose-day! Well, every day is a choose-day, but today, in particular, I encourage you all to choose to smile, be kind, and do something that makes you happy. Imagine if we all did that every day. The world would be a very different place, and I think a much better one too. I know it's hard sometimes, but it's important to try! Of course, we hope that reading our little newsletter puts a smile on your dial. We always put a lot of love into it and try to choose stories that will make you smile, laugh or learn something new. So, without further ado, let's jump right into today's issue.
First things first, let’s give you the answer to yesterday’s riddle!
I come in various sizes, which suit male and female riders. I come in a few different colours. I’m a big improvement from older things such as walking sticks and crutches. What am I?
Did you get it? The answer is a mobility scooter! We also accepted those who answered wheelie walkers and wheelchairs! We hope you all had fun with that one. If you got it correct, make sure to scroll down below for your shoutout!

For today’s ‘Yesterday’s Australia’, we have a lovely memory from member @Ezzy about a popular kids’ TV show from the 60s - Mr Squiggle! ‘Loved watching this in my younger & not so younger years, too, with Miss Pat as blackboard referred to her as ‘Hurry up, hurry up’, he’d always say in a grumpy voice. It always amazed me how a bit of scribble could be turned into a picture by Mr Squiggle with a polite voice & ‘yes, Miss Pat’. Then some things were put into Mr Rocket & shot off.’
Mr Squiggle is probably one of Australia’s most treasured kids TV shows. The show was educational, entertaining and just all-around wholesome fun. Thank you, @Ezzy, for sharing this lovely memory with us. You can watch episodes of the show on YouTube here, if you want to take a trip down memory lane.

‘I won a trip to Canada!’
How stunning is this photo shared by member @Rosita1950 in our photography forum? It’s one of the many photos she shared from her trip to Canada 10 years ago with the caption: ‘I took this pic of Banff Springs Hotel from the Gondola going up to Sulphur Mountain. It was my 60th birthday. I had won a trip to Banff and Lake Louise and took it to coincide with my birthday. Sulphur Mountain was breathtakingly beautiful. Banff Springs Hotel is my favourite in the world… just like a Scottish castle! And Lake Louise was also exquisite! We
also had a day trip to the Athabasca Glacier and flew to Toronto for a day trip to Niagara Falls. This was 12 years ago.’
Oh my goodness! What an absolutely stunning photo of Banff Springs Hotel! It looks like a real-life castle! It sounds like an incredible trip. Thank you for sharing your beautiful pictures and memories with us, @Rosita1950.

A farmer decided he wanted to go to town and see a movie. As he approached, the ticket agent asked, Sir, what’s that on your shoulder?’
The old farmer said, ‘That’s my pet rooster, Chuck. Wherever I go, Chuck goes.’
‘I’m sorry, sir,’ said the ticket agent. ‘We can’t allow animals in the theatre.’
Oooh, this is a good one! But be warned, it’s a bit rude and crude, so click at your own risk! A big thank you to @Dippy53 for sharing this joke with us! Check out the rest of the joke here.
