Publishers note

It seems that curiosity surrounding the AC75 America’s Cup launches was not confined to me. Data shows that many of our readers were equally intrigued, with each of the stories rating highly in our stats. Last week we brought you the pizazz surrounding the launch of four of the contenders. This week we have news on the serious side of the vessels. Under the title of “Revealing reveals” we share some insights into the design and build variances.  Many, especially sailors and shipwrights, will love the story.

Congratulations to Tim Wiles on being appointed to the helm of Club Marine as CEO. It’s great to have the likes of Tim leading our industry in such senior roles. What is even more encouraging is that Tim has spent his entire career in our industry. A great role model I’m sure for many younger members of our industry, demonstrating that great opportunities exist with commitment and time.

It has been a busy week for news, and at the time of preparing this eNews, our team had much more being prepared to add to our news pages. We hope you enjoy this week’s stories.
