Sunday Edition
Happy Sunday, members! How are you all today? Safe, happy, and healthy, I (Maddie) hope. It’s been quite the week for us all. We’ve had to witness some truly horrific incidents, including some of the worst flooding New South Wales has ever seen. So we just want to take a moment to let those of you who have been affected by the floods, that our thoughts are with you and your families, and if there is anything we can do to help, please let us know. We also want to take a moment to thank the Emergency Services, the Defence Force, and the volunteers - the
local and international ones, who are all currently working together to perform rescue and relief efforts. You’re all truly remarkable.
This week’s quote is for all of you struggling in the floods, but also, for those of you across the nation who might be having a tough time for other reasons. I hope this reminds you of just how resilient you all are, and please do not forget if you are struggling there are so many incredible services you can reach out to for help.
‘Life is tough, but so are you.’
I don’t think any member here needs to be reminded of how tough life can be. But I do think some of you need to be reminded of how tough you truly are. You have been through all that life has thrown at you so far, and whatever it is that you’re going through right now, you will get through it, just like you have everything else. Keep your head high and keep fighting that good fight. We’re right here with you.
Now, why don’t we end things on a little bit of a lighter note? For this week’s ‘Your Say Sunday’ we thought it would be fun, and we're also curious about what you consider the happiest years of your life. So we have started a poll here on the forum. You don't need to explain your choice, but if you'd like to, we'd love to hear from you in the comments.
Perhaps you were happiest in your childhood, running amuck before technology took over. Some of you will consider those first years as parents as the best (but hardest) years. Maybe you're in your golden years of happiness now. Let us know in this poll! We're looking forward to seeing the results.
Now then that’s enough from me! What happened across Australia and around the world this week?
