Tree of the Month nominations are now open!

Is there a tree you always admire on your morning walk? Maybe it’s large and shady, or smaller and still growing... You can now nominate it for City of Marion’s Tree of the Month!

Simply snap a photo, let us know a few details and your tree could be recognised.

If your tree is successful, it will be awarded a sign for a month, and we’ll snap a photo of yourself and the tree to share with our community.

Birds and biodiversity

Did you know that a native, bird-attracting, garden can help fight urban heat? ☀️

Birds play a huge role in keeping our environment balanced:
🌱 They eat scale insects, protecting trees from damage
🐜 This stops ants from overpopulating and invading your garden
🌳 Healthier trees create more shade and cool down our streets

By planting a bird-friendly garden filled with native plants, you’re not just helping local wildlife - you’re making your entire community more liveable!
