Good morning! Guten Morgen! Bonjour↔!
Three (3!) house and studio moves in three years—it's a theme, apparently. From Central London's Clerkenwell to Barnsbury, followed by Angel, and now, after over 23 years in London, it's Lyon in France. Packing and unpacking, tears and laughter, questions and more questions. The dust has settled. Life can be messy, croissants consistently divine. Time to start afresh. It's been too long—but here it is—leaner, stronger and more determined than ever, with over 23 years of experience:
What can we create together?
The studio's HQ is officially registered in Lincoln, United Kingdom. Happy to meet virtually or travel for any business meetings.

Equity—Logo animation
Tomi contributes to the design and product development of Equity's educational board game, which quickly evolved to become a workshop with the mission statement: 'Fostering Responsible Finance'. To date, we have created a bespoke logotype, variants, social media assets, a logo animation, and the board game design itself.

All you need... Stereohype badges
Once again: FL@33 work on TV
Jolly Good on BBC
Tomi Vollauschek's Jolly Good button badge appeared, to our amazement, numerous times on the BBC's TV show Great British Sewing Bee (Series 9), thanks to finalist Tony R., who pinned it to his hat. We have since supplied him with a few spares, as you can imagine—and we follow each other keenly on Instagram. He purchased his original Jolly Good badge at the Saatchi Gallery Store—one of the London stockists of Tomi's sister company, Stereohype. Another thing that still needs to be added to the flat33.com archive. There are lots of screenshots... For more pictures and a link to Tony R., please visit and browse instagram.com/stereohype. The badge is available at stereohype.com and there is even a print version (flat33.com project page).

Tomi's Design Teaching—a newly compiled overview https://www.flat33.com/edu
Based on a recent LinkedIn post by FL@33's Tomi Vollauschek (updated for this newsletter):
I love Design Teaching /// While I am still very flexible and available for additional workshops and more English-language roles in design teaching—remotely or on-site—I am thrilled to announce that after having been appointed to teach Visual Identity at ECV Lille, École de création visuelle, last year, I was recently also appointed to be Visiting Lecturer [intervenant] for Culture Graphique there. This started online and remotely in September.
I will also tutor Master design students with their final year projects in 2024/2025.
And—just confirmed: I am excited to reveal today that I will be back at ECV's Aix-en-Provence branch later this month for a week to run a newly developed English-language Editorial Design Masterclass workshop.
Another week-long design residency at ECV Lille in February 2025 will be a new great opportunity to run 'Personal Projects and The Power of Three'—my inspirational Masterclass workshops I developed and fine-tuned since 2016.
My ongoing engagement with this French design college for visual communication started many years ago, and since then I have given many talks and run numerous workshops at the bachelor and mostly master level in Lille, Bordeaux, and Aix-en-Provence. Additionally, I have also repeatedly been invited to be part of ECV's diploma jury in Lille and Aix-en-Provence, where I most recently served as jury president last summer.
Please do get in touch if you would like to discuss how we could work together.
