Tuesday Edition
Hi there, members, and welcome to another beautiful Tuesday morning! How are we all feeling today? I (Vella) am feeling fantastic! Maybe because of the relaxing long weekend I just had. I enjoyed a lovely break from work and spent a relaxing few days with my partner in a health and wellness retreat. We stayed in a holistic resort, and let me tell you, it was stunning. We basked in the sun, spent time in nature, enjoyed healthy meals and activities, and just had an all-around great time. I feel so refreshed and recharged. I realised how important it is to take time for yourself every now and then just to relax and rejuvenate. And being in nature makes me feel so connected and at peace. I recommend you try and do the same, even if it’s just a barefoot walk on the grass or looking up and admiring the trees! It really worked wonders for me. To end on a high note, I’ll leave you all with this
mantra that I’ve been repeating to myself lately: ‘You’ve got to nourish to flourish.’
Anyway, enough about me, let’s get into the nitty-gritty of today’s newsletter. As always, we have a whole bunch of stuff for you to enjoy, so let’s not waste any time and jump right in!
First things first, let’s give you the answer to yesterday’s riddle!
I make two people out of one. What am I?
And the answer is… a mirror! We also accepted those who answered pregnancy and shadow! How clever are you lot? We thought this one would stump most of you, but it seems like a fair few of you were able to see through this one. If you got the answer correct, head further down in the email, and you’ll spot a shout-out just for you!
Now then, what’s happening across Australia and the world today?

Today’s ‘Yesterday’s Australia’ is thanks to @Hella59. ‘I miss the Milkman delivering the gold-topped glass milk bottles into our wire crate each morning and the Baker delivering fresh bread, finger buns and creams buns ready for our school lunches. ‘
We can imagine the excitement of waking up each morning to see what delicious treats the milkman and baker had delivered. The clinking of the bottles as they’re set down in the crate and the warm, fresh bread straight from the oven sounds so wonderful. It’s no wonder @Hella59 missed it! Thank you for sharing this lovely memory with us.

Two neighbours lived side by side.
One is rich, and the other one is poor.
The poor neighbour has a magic lamp. Every morning, he rubs the lamp, and a genie comes out and intones, ‘Ask whatever you want.’
Hahaha, this one is good! A big thank you to @Cheb for sharing this one. You had us in stitches! Check out the rest of the joke here.

The name New South Wales came from the journal of Lieutenant James Cook (later Captain Cook), who sailed up the east coast of Australia in 1770. He thought that the land looked like the south coast of Wales. He named it ‘New Wales’ but then changed the name in his journal to ‘New South Wales’.
