Milestone Reunion This Year? Please click on the link below to see how we can assist you in the planning of your Reunion. Class of 1970 - Reunion for 2023We are chasing ex-students from the Class of 1970 who may be interested in a reunion later this year. A couple of years ago several from our class were kindly invited to join the Class of 1971 for their 50-year celebrations. Since then, there have been several more get togethers of their class and I was amazed at the number of ex-students attending. They are a very close group who enjoy each other’s company and have been doing so since leaving De La Salle College. Having enjoyed their company those of us from 1970 class decided to put out some feelers and plan an event ourselves. We did this on the 23rd of November at the Woodbridge Hotel in Guildford. We had a great time and would like to share the experience with the rest of our class. We have put together a list of names but unfortunately during the last 52 years without contact has made it very difficult to open the line of communication and spread the word. To remedy this, it was decided to request the College to include this note in the Alumni Newsletter. If you wish to be a part of the next gathering, please feel free to contact me, Peter Schelfhout via email to petcar8@bigpond.com or on my mobile 0407083645. I would ask that you clearly identify yourself on the email subject line to avoid be deleted. Commentary by Peter Schelfhout (Class of 1970) ONSITE Work Placements We are looking for businesses to support our ONSITE Work Placement program for Year 10 - 12 students. As part of our ONSITE and Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs, students can build their knowledge and experience while gaining valuable insight into industry. Our partnerships with TAFEs, local businesses and other providers ensure our students can further their learning in a workplace setting and achieve accreditations, opening doors to higher learning and career opportunities. If you think you can help, please contact Ms Belinda Sewell in our College Careers team. First performed at La Salle in 2004 it was always the plan to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the shows original production at the College. However, with the disruptions that Covid caused, the College decided to present Jesus Christ Superstar on its nineteenth anniversary. Inspired by the 2013 arena spectacular this production has been updated in terms of design and staging but the amazing songs you know, and love are still the same.
