Thursday Edition
Good morning, members, and happy Thursday! As we do every morning, we have something big up our sleeve. We’re pretty excited about today’s lineup, so let’s get right to it, shall we?
First on the agenda this morning, it’s time to give you all the answer to yesterday’s tricky riddle. For those of you who don’t remember, the riddle goes:
A man wanted to enter an exclusive club but did not know the required password. He waited by the door and listened. A club member knocked on the door, and the doorman said, “twelve.” The member replied, “six," and was let in. A second member came to the door, and the doorman said, “six.” The member replied, “three,” and was let in. The man thought he had heard enough and walked up to the door. The doorman said, ”ten,” and the man replied, “five.” But he was not let in. What should have he said?
This was a tough one, eh? But a few of you know that the answer is “three”! Why? The doorman lets in those who answer with the number of letters in the word for the number he says. So, when the doorman said “ten,” the man should have replied with “three” because “three” is the number of letters in the word “ten.” If you got this one correct, stick around, and you’ll find a shoutout waiting for you at the end of the newsletter.
Next up on the agenda, folks is our Fascinating Fact for the week!
Did you know that the average person spends about six years of their life dreaming? That’s a lot of time spent in la-la land! Studies have shown that people generally have a few dreams every night, each one lasting approximately five to 20 minutes. However, most dreams are forgotten shortly after waking up, with up to 95% of them being forgotten. Scientists believe that we dream to process emotions and experiences in our waking life. Dreams can also be a way for our brains to practice skills and problem-solving. So the next time you have a weird dream, don’t forget that it might be your brain’s way of trying to tell you something!
Oh and one more thing before we get into the news, we just wanted to say that with energy prices on the rise, we wanted to let you know what's happening and that we've

Who remembers French knitting in school? French knitting was all the rage in the 1940s and early 1950s, and we used this knitting nancy made of wooden cotton reel to make dolls' things or teapot stands. It was a lot of fun and kept us entertained for hours. Who here still has this?

The ionosphere is an abundant layer of electrons and ionised atoms and molecules that stretches from about 48 kilometres (30 miles) above the surface to the edge of space at about 965 km (600 mi), overlapping into the mesosphere and thermosphere. It is a critical link in the chain of Sun-Earth interactions. This region is what makes radio communications possible.
