Saturday Edition
Hello there, members, and welcome to another wonderful Saturday morning! We hope you are all feeling good and are ready for another day of fun and relaxation. We have a lot in store for you today, so make sure you settle in with a nice cuppa, and treat yourself to something decadent for brekky like an almond croissant or a bacon and egg roll.
To start things off, let’s take a look at the answer to yesterday’s riddle!
I am something people love or hate. I change people's appearances and thoughts. If a person takes care of themselves, I will go up even higher. To some people, I will fool them. To others, I am a mystery. Some people might want to try and hide me, but I will show no matter how hard people try, I will never go down. What am I?
Did you get it? The answer is age or ageing! Why? Because people either love or hate ageing, and it changes people’s appearances and thoughts. If you take care of yourself, you’ll age longer (i.e. ‘go up higher’). Some people may try and hide their age, but eventually it will show no matter how hard they try.
This one had us stumped for a while. But of course, as always, a good lot of you managed to get the answer correct! If you got it right, make sure to head further down this email to find a shoutout just for you!
Now onto our next segment for the day, ‘What Would the Grandkids Say?’ Today’s term is “ship.” When you 'ship' something, it means you support a romantic relationship. This term is often used when two people seem perfect for each other. For example, you might say, “They’re such a good ship!” This term comes from the world of fan fiction, where people would write stories about their favourite characters getting together. So next time you see a cute couple, why not tell them they make a good ship?
Before we get into the news, check out today’s Aldi Special Buys! There are some fantastic deals on kitchen appliances, so don’t forget to browse them!

Remember the Hillman Minx? It was a popular car in the 1970s. It was affordable, reliable, and had a certain rugged charm that many Australians loved. If you were lucky enough to own a Hillman Minx back in the day, you were definitely one of the cool kids. Who learnt to drive in one of these?

A man was sitting on the edge of the bed, watching his wife, who was looking at herself in the mirror.
Since her birthday was not far off, he asked what she’d like as a gift.
“I’d like to be eight again,” she replied, still looking in the mirror.

Monkfish, also known as Stargazer in Australia, is affectionately known as “poor man’s lobster” because the flesh resembles lobster meat – only much more economical. It is a rather unsightly looking fish, which sometimes earned it the nickname “toad.”
