HELP SHAPE NORTHBROOK'S FUTURE

Northbrook is updating its Zoning Code for the first time since 1988 to make it easier to support community goals like sustainability and affordable housing, and streamline the development process. The zoning code will feature clear graphics and modern standards to better serve everyone. A public hearing will be held on August 19 at 7:30pm in the Village Hall Board Room. Residents are encouraged to attend and share their feedback. Click here to learn more.

The Northfield Township Food Pantry is in need of boxed cereal, pancake mix, juice and juice boxes, canned mandarin oranges, and salt & pepper. Bring donations to Northfield Township at 2550 Waukegan Road.

NORTHBROOK POLICE JOINS STATEWIDE LABOR DAY TRAFFIC SAFETY EFFORT

The Northbrook Police Department is proud to be one of over 200 law enforcement agencies across Illinois participating in the statewide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over,” “Drive High Get a DUI” and “Click It or Ticket” campaigns this Labor Day.

The initiative is reinforced by IDOT’s “It’s Not a Game” media campaign running across radio, TV and digital platforms to highlight the deadly consequences of impaired driving.

Party on the Green | Northbrook Park District
Saturday, August 16, from 4pm-10pm

Village Green Park
Bring your family and join us for a fun and festive day full of live music, plus enjoy games and giveaways at Village Green Park! The party will conclude with a movie-in-the-park viewing of Honey, I Shrunk the Kids at dusk. Bring your own food and blanket or lawn chairs! 

The Northbrook Arts Commission will also display art pieces from local artists participating in Paint Northbrook. Submissions will be available for browsing and purchase.

Draft Zoning Code – Public Hearing #2
Tuesday, August 19 at 7:30pm

The Northbrook Plan Commission will hold a second public hearing on the Draft Zoning Code on Tuesday, August 19 at 7:30pm in the Board Room. This follows the initial hearing held in July. Residents are encouraged to attend and provide their feedback.

Northbrook Brewfest | Northbrook Park District
Saturday, September 6 from 3pm-7pm
Village Green Park
Brewfest is back this September! Join the Northbrook Park District and the Village of Northbrook for an afternoon of craft beer tastings, live music by The Grady Experience, and delicious bites from a food truck. All guests must be 21+. Tickets are now available. Buy early and save before prices go up on event day!
