A new and improved MySHG portal is coming soon 

We’re excited to announce that the current MySHG customer portal will soon be replaced with a brand-new, improved version – making it quicker and easier to manage your home online. 

Designed using customer feedback and tested by our Customer Focus and Early Access groups, the new portal is simple to use and built around what matters most to you. 

What’s new? 

• Report repairs and manage appointments 
• Get instant access to news and events 
• Make payments online 
• View your tenancy details and account balance in one place 

Plus, a mobile app is coming soon, so you can manage your home on the go. 

What happens next? 

We’ll be sending email invitations to join the new portal in stages over the next few months to all general needs tenants. Shared owners and leaseholders will be invited later and will receive separate updates to keep them informed.

Getting Crafty at Cultures Together Group

The Cultures Together Group recently got creative and made some beautiful paper flowers!

Shahin, one of the women who regularly attends the group, loves doing arts and crafts at home. After showing her paper flower project to a staff member, Shahin was encouraged to lead a creative session and teach other members how to make these simple but effective floral pieces.

The Cultures Together group meets every Wednesday afternoon 1pm-3pm, at Queens Gardens in Cheadle. The group is open to everyone and they really are the most welcoming and friendly group.

Connect with Rainbow Roofs

Join a community of social housing residents working to make a positive difference for LGBTQ+ people. Rainbow Roofs helps raise the voices of LGBTQ+ residents and the issues that matter to them. If you’re a Stockport Homes resident looking to connect with others and get involved, come along to an upcoming session.

Greater Manchester Live Well Spring Festival: Coming to a neighbourhood near you

More than 200 community‑led events will take place across Greater Manchester from 9–23 March, popping up in neighbourhoods, Live Well centres, community hubs, high streets, parks and online.

The festival celebrates the growing Live Well movement, showcasing everyday support, community power and stronger connections through Public Living Rooms, Chatty Buses, exhibitions, pop‑ups and volunteering activities.

Local highlights include trails, Spring sings, gardening clubs, Communi‑Tea, fun days, youth film premieres, comedy nights, sports, craft, poetry, playboxes, human libraries and more.

MP Navendu Mishra visits Lancashire Hill

This month, we welcomed Stockport Labour MP Navendu Mishra to Lancashire Hill. 

After receiving messages from residents, Navendu visited the site to understand more about the new fire safety measures for the blocks.

He met some of the fire marshals who have been helping to keep the building safe and asked about the steps we've put in place to ensure our customers' safety always remains a priority.
