C3 to Host 1,500 Students at #SHEbuildsHouston
The Construction Career Collaborative (C3) works to maintain a talent pipeline of skilled craft professionals by advocating for human resource practices that benefit craft workers, contracting firms, building owners and construction as a whole. One of their main objectives is to recruit new talent to the industry through career awareness, exploration and recruitment opportunities. The March 3rd #SHEbuildsHouston event is one way they do just that. #SHEbuildsHouston is a career exploration event designed to introduce young women to the many career opportunities construction offers. This year, C3 has partnered with Alief and Spring Branch ISDs to put hand tools, power tools and other building materials into the hands of 1,500 young women between eighth and 12th grade. It’s their opportunity to experience what it takes to work in construction, in a fun and safe environment! There are a number of ways you can help #SHEbuildsHouston see success:
- Become an Exhibitor
- Join a Speaker Panel
- Volunteer
