Today’s ‘Yesterday’s Australia’ segment is thanks to @Suzanne rose, who shared a photo of her 1950s tricycle with the caption: ‘I had one of these and still have it, which I now use in my garden as a feature.’
Aww! This tricycle was every kid’s dream in the 1950s and 60s! It’s amazing that Suzanne still has hers and uses it as a garden feature - what a great idea! It must bring back lots of happy memories. Do you remember owning a tricycle just like this one?

Peter Clemenza, played by Richard Castellano, is responsible for one of the greatest lines in the history of cinema. In the movie, Clemenza and rising Corleone soldier Rocco Lampone drive around with the traitorous Paulie, making a notable stop at a bakery and then eventually to a field. Once they ‘take care’ of Paulie, Clemenza directs Rocco to ‘leave the gun. Take the cannoli.’
