Good afternoon
Good afternoon, members! I hope you have all been having a good day so far. I (Maddie) went to a beautiful Dawn Service this morning by the beach. It was absolutely gorgeous watching the sunrise in the distance as we stood in silence and paid our respects to the many men and women who suffered and sacrificed their lives so that we could be here today.
I know today is a very difficult day for many of you, and I hope you know we, as a community, are here to support you through it all. If any of you want to share what ANZAC Day means to you, do not hesitate to share your experience or maybe even commemorate a family member here. I wrote this myself last year and shared a story very close to my heart, so please feel free to join me in our yearly tradition
here.
This afternoon, our newsletter theme is 'ANZAC Day'. This morning, we ran our Dawn Service newsletter, and if you haven't had a chance to read it yet, I highly recommend checking it out either in your inbox or here on the forum. We cannot thank you enough for joining us on this very special and important day.

Fact of the day
Villers-Bretonneux
Villers-Bretonneux is a little village in France that ANZACs freed from the Germans during World War 1. To show their gratitude, the people hung up a sign in the local school that says 'Do not forget Australia'. Each year, the village pays homage to ANZAC Day and ensures the memory of their liberators lives on.
