Introducing the new CHU Contents Insurance

We’re excited to introduce our revitalised CHU Contents Insurance; an insurance solution designed to manage risk and provide the best coverage for your clients. This offering will be rolled out in two phases:

Phase 1: Contents for strata coverage: Now available

We have introduced a new wording for strata contents that that will continue to provide much needed support in the event of a claim.

Key benefits:

New contents sum insured adjustment feature
Up to $30 million legal liability
Cover for damage or loss caused by a storm, fire, theft, flood and more
Contents cover while moving to your new residence
Contents cover for up to 60 days at your old and new home

CHU will continue to offer our unique excess waiver. This means if your client owns a strata lot they won’t have to pay an excess if their strata building owner makes a claim on a CHU policy for loss or damage caused by the same incident.

Phase 2: Contents for Community Association lot owner homes – May 2025

For the first time our Contents Insurance will become available for renters and owners of homes within Community Associations.
