CELEBRATING DEDICATION, SERVICE, AND TEAMWORK

We’re proud to celebrate several recent milestones within the Northbrook Fire Department that highlight both professional achievement and extraordinary service. On Friday, December 12, six new firefighters graduated from the NIPSTA Fire Academy. They are currently assigned to the Division of Training & Safety, where they are continuing their initial training.

In addition, at the December 9 Village Board meeting, Lieutenants Brandon and Brian Collazo were recognized with the MABAS-IL Humanitarian Service Medal for their response and relief efforts during catastrophic flash flooding in Texas in July 2025. The Lieutenants were deployed for two weeks as part of a 39-person team responding through an Emergency Management Assistance Compact request. The team worked under extremely challenging conditions, searching miles of riverbanks and debris fields in heavily devastated areas.

Together, these accomplishments reflect the dedication, leadership, and selfless service Northbrook firefighters bring to our community. Congratulations and thank you for all you do!
