Friday Edition | AM
Good morning
Good morning, folks! Happy Friday! Not that anyone really knows what day it is this time of year. 😉 I (Maddie) have lost all concept of time. My week has just been one big blur of reading, drinking coffee, relaxing, eating some Christmas leftovers and catching up on some sleep, and I couldn’t be happier. But now that we are getting a little closer to the New Year, I have this urge to start thinking about my New Year goals. Have you ever, or do you still, set New Year goals? Or have you never been that interested in goal setting? Growing up, both of my parents were very big on ‘setting goals’. At the end of every year, we would sit around the dinner table and share what we achieved that year, and what we wanted to achieve the following year. It sounds a little odd, I know, but I think I learnt a lot from it and I have taken that into my adulthood.
So, I’d love to know. If you do have any New Year goals, what are they? And if you don’t, why don’t you? I’d love to read all the different ideas and opinions on our forum here if you’d like to share them with me!
Now that’s enough from me, what’s happening across Australia and around the world today?

Christmas in memory of Mum
There’s not much I can add to this beautiful Christmas memory, so buckle in for a tear jerker from member @Ronaldi. ‘I love Christmas 🎄 and when I was a young child I used to get so excited about Christmas that I made myself so sick. I remember one Christmas Eve I was really bad and I ended up sleeping on my mum’s lap all night, in the living room. I woke early hours in the morning and I said to mum, "I wonder if Santa has been?" She said "go and have a peek." So I slid the sliding door open a little and peeked into the lounge room, lo and behold there were presents galore. "How did Santa get the presents in without waking us mum?" "Because of
the Christmas magic" she replied. I hugged her tight and went back to sleep until it was time to wake up. This will be my first Christmas without my mum, she passed away May 29, and this memory, such a beautiful memory, has just brought me to tears.’ Thank you so much for sharing this with us all, member @Ronaldi. We hope you had a wonderful Christmas this year. If you have a nostalgic memory you’d like to share, post it here on our forum!

James Morrison at Milton Theatre
How breathtaking is this photo of James Morrison at the Milton Theatre? His dedication and concentration is captured beautifully. According to member @Bronniekid, he was most certainly ‘in the zone’ and it turns out, his sons were performing with him as well! Thank you so much for sharing this incredible photograph with us member @Bronniekid. If you have a photo you’d like to share, post it on our photography forum
