Harper’s is pleased to present a selection of new works by Guy Yanai at this year’s Felix Art Fair. Yanai’s latest paintings and works on paper traverse a breadth of subject matter, from meticulously constructed landscapes and film stills to expressive, vibrant still lifes. His commitment to surface and structure resists illusion, highlighting the materiality of paint over the pull of representation. Through an exacting yet tactile approach, Yanai cultivates a subtle tension—one that invites the viewer to consider how artistic mediation both abstracts and reveals reality.

Guy Yanai (b. 1977, Haifa, Israel) received a BA from Hampshire College in 2000; he currently lives and works in Tel Aviv and Marseille. His work has been the subject of solo presentations at Galerie Lelong, Paris (forthcoming, 2025); Harper’s, New York, Los Angeles, and East Hampton (2024, 2023 and 2016); König Galerie, Berlin (2024 and 2022); Nassima Landau Foundation, Tel Aviv (2024); Seojung Art, Seoul (2023); Miles McEnery Gallery, New York (2021 and 2019); Praz-Delavallade, Los Angeles and Paris (2021, 2019, and 2017); Galerie Conrads, Dusseldorf (2020 and 2018); and Galerie Derouillon, Paris (2017). Yanai has participated in notable recent group exhibitions, including Spectrums of Light, Nassima Landau Foundation, Tel Aviv (2024); Licked by the Waves, Museum MORE, Gorsell, NL (2024); and Home is where the Art is, Kunsthal Rotterdam, NL (2022).
