Dear Friend,
Happy September.
No matter where you look, it seems that the media world is discovering The New Longevity, the social movement of our lives. Whether it is the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, or Netflix, the subject is starting to permeate into the cultural zeitgeist.
While that's encouraging, there is still a lot of inherent ageism in the reporting. The focus continues to be on stepping back and reflecting on life, as opposed to reinvention and creating a dynamic second half of life. There are still too many stereotypical images and words that identify the over 50 crowd who are becoming like no other group that have lived on planet earth. So many of this group are tech savvy, fit, engaged, trying new endeavors, adventurous, and by no means brand loyal. And by the way, they have a lot of money to spend. Here's a stat: the 50+ American spends $8.3 trillion a year, and would be the third largest economy in the world as defined by GDP.
As readers of this newsletter, you have identified as one of our "Re-Imagineers", joining this community to learn more about how you can redefine your life in exciting ways in the New Longevity. I'm excited to tell you that we have just completed a national study about people like you. These are breakthrough findings that have never been surfaced before and we'll be sharing the news with you over the next few months.
A lot will also be revealed at our ROAR forward summit in November. While we are inviting our sponsors, ROAR Report Subscribers and companies that have supported our efforts, we will have a fixed number of seats for the readers of this newsletter.
