Dear colleagues,

This past month has been an exciting time for the AEC community with several engaging events and fruitful discussions.

The recent Pop & Jazz Platform platform in Pamplona was a resounding success, with a great turnout and thought-provoking conversations.

This was followed by the Southeast Asia Directors of Music Association (SEADOM) conference at the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music (PVGIM) in Bangkok, where Finn Schumacker and I had the privilege of connecting with conservatoire leaders from across South East Asia. We were able to share insights into AEC’s ongoing projects, including PRIhME, which continues to make an impact in higher music education.

Our AEC Council meeting in Salzburg hosted by the Mozarteum University was another highlight, as we discussed key initiatives and the future direction of the AEC.

Looking ahead, we are eagerly anticipating the upcoming European Platform for Artistic Research platform in Tallinn in just a few days, which promises to continue this momentum with further collaboration and exchange of ideas.

Thank you for your continued engagement, and we look forward to many more enriching opportunities together.

Deborah Kelleher, AEC President
