From Nuclear to A:5: The UAE's Trusted Partnership with America
UAE Ambassador Yousef Al Otaiba delivered a clear message this week: "From civil nuclear cooperation to Major Defense Partner to A:5, the UAE has proven time and again it is one of America's most trusted partners. Our commitments are firm, our safeguards verifiable and our resolve unchanged. We will continue to deliver."
In a letter to the US-UAE Business Council, the Ambassador pointed to the UAE's elevation to Country Group A:5 as the next chapter of the bilateral technology partnership. A:5 grants approved UAE entities license-free access to advanced US technologies, including AI chips, commercial satellites and defense-related equipment.
Emirati Women Are Featured at the Forbes 30/50 Summit in New York
Five years ago, the Forbes 30/50 Summit launched in Abu Dhabi. This October, it celebrated that milestone in New York City — and Emirati women were among the voices shaping its biggest conversations. UAE Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission Alia Al Suwaidi and New York Consul General Amna Almheiri joined a panel moderated by MS Now journalist Symone Sanders, discussing how they began their careers in diplomacy and what they've learned about building trust with partners to advance the UAE-US relationship.
Separately, UAE Minister of State Noura Al Kaabi participated alongside Hillary Clinton, Huma Abedin and Mika Brzezinski in a session on women and global leadership. Across the two-day summit, Emirati officials underscored the UAE's role in a global community of women committed to driving change across borders and generations.
More Than a Walk: The UAE's Partnership with Susan G. Komen
The UAE Embassy joined the DC community at the MORE THAN PINK Walk, continuing a partnership with Susan G. Komen that spans more than a decade. Embassy sponsorship directly supports breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs across the DMV region.
The partnership extends well beyond Washington. Through its longstanding relationship with the UAE, Komen has partnered with US and UAE institutions to advance breast cancer awareness and expand access to treatment globally.

@TIIuae has completed the development of its probe for the Emirates Mission to the Asteroid Belt. Designed, built, and tested in Abu Dhabi, the probe will be transported to Colorado, US, for final integration with the MBR Explorer spacecraft ahead of its planned 2028 launch.
