Saturday Edition
Good morning members, and happy Saturday! We hope you’re all doing well and have something fun planned for today. We know we do! We’re looking forward to a day of relaxation and catching up on our favourite books and movies in this chilly weather. But before we do that, we have today’s newsletter to get through! So let’s get started, shall we?
First, let’s look at the answer to yesterday’s riddle. So what was it again?
Which word is the odd one out: Seventy, Brawl, Clover, Proper, Carrot, Swing, Change, Travel, Sacred, Stone?
And the answer is… Carrot! Why? When the first and last letters are removed from the other words, they all spell out different words, the exception is carrot! So, well done to those of you who got it correct. If you did, you’ll find a shoutout waiting for you further down this newsletter.
Now, onto our next segment for the day, ‘What Would the Grandkids Say’. Today, we are taking a look at the term ‘yaaassss’ This is a term used to express excitement, enthusiasm, or approval. It is another way to say ‘yes’, but with more punch and enthusiasm. It is used when someone is really excited about something and the number of a's and s's can vary to indicate greater degrees of enthusiasm. So, if your grandkids ever do something that makes you proud, be sure to tell them, “yaaassss!”

Remember how your mum would let you play outside as long as you returned home in time for tea? Tea time was spent as a family discussing how our day went, and you were not allowed to leave the table until you had finished your meal. Tea was served at 6 p.m., followed by sweets and a bit of TV or reading. What are your favourite teatime memories?
