PLAYWAVE IS CHANGING - BE PART OF WHAT'S NEXT

Hi Playwavers!

We’ve got some important news to share about the future of Playwave. 

After 7 incredible years of connecting Young People with the arts, we’re entering a new phase - one shaped directly by your voices. The Playwave Advisory Panel recently told us that what matters most to Young People and young artists right now is shifting. You’re looking for: 

• Real world creative skills, including masterclasses in producing artistic work  

• Networking and social events with other emerging artists and young art-lovers 

• Access to exclusive experiences, like behind-the-scenes moments at major productions 

• More chances to see and share new work by young and emerging artists 

We’ve heard this feedback as we’ve considered the future of Playwave. 

While Playwave ticketing will come to a close on Sunday 13 July at 11:59pm, this isn’t the end of Playwave - it’s the start of something new. We're evolving our programs at Shopfront Arts Co-op to reflect what Young People want now: deeper creative engagement, real industry access, and a platform to connect and thrive. 

Some of the things you’ve loved most, like Playwave Experiences, will continue under the Shopfront banner - they might just look a little different! New opportunities will be added for creative skill building and networking, plus heaps more. 

Here's what to know right now: 

• Any tickets purchased by 13 July will still be honoured by our partners 

• Got Playwave ticket credits? Now’s the time to use them 

• Playwave membership will soon become part of a broader network of young artists at Shopfront
