Scone CBD Revitalisation
 
 

Project Update
April 2024

As part of our ongoing commitment to keeping you informed about the Scone CBD Revitalisation Project, we would like to share an update on the works happening in and around St Aubins Square and Kelly Street. 

March was a busy month and saw the successful installation of street furniture and lighting in parts of the project. We've brightened our streets and paved the way for a more welcoming CBD. Behind these visible changes, critical infrastructure updates are laying the foundation for a more vibrant and resilient Scone.

March Progress Summary

Block 1 - West

  • Installation of street furniture
  • Installation of street lights
  • Defect and finishing works

Block 1 - East

  • Removal of base course
  • Installation of storm water drainage including pits

Block 2 - West

  • Installation of street furniture
  • Installation of street lights
  • Defect and finishing works

Block 2 - East

  • Water main cutover to new main
  • Ausgrid outage and reconnection to new assets
  • Construction of kerb and gutter
  • Pavement infill

Works Planned for April

Block 1 – East

  • Completion of storm water drainage
  • Water main installation
  • Commencement of Ausgrid works
  • Kerb and gutter construction and base course replacement

Block 2 – East

  • Telstra asset adjustment
  • Building drainage connections
  • Commencement of footpath
