I work closely with Lesley and I am sure I echo the sentiments of many when I say her presence and enthusiasm for research will be sorely missed. Research at CALHN is now thought of as core business, and it will continue at pace. This month’s guest writer – which we are calling “From the desk of…” – is Associate Professor Scott Clark. Scott is the lead mentor for the Clinical PhD Pathway Program being led by Adelaide Health Innovation Partnership. Please read below about this exciting program. I know my PhD changed my life – I am sure it has for many others so I’m hoping to spread the word far and wide about this opportunity. ![]() Dr Liz Sutton Next month, we're hosting CALHN Research Week – a week of internal and external events held at the RAH and the Basil Hetzel Institute, TQEH – providing an opportunity for our researchers to share their important work with each other and the community. CALHN Research Week is generously supported by The Hospital Research Foundation Group and we thank them for helping us put on such an important event. Keep an eye out below for details on our public RAHsearch events. I look forward to continuing to meet many of the CALHN staff engaged in research and trying to share this varied and wonderful work with you via this newsletter. Please contact me if I haven’t managed to meet you yet and you think we should. CALHN is a big place. ![]() Change the world with a CALHN-based PhD!With unique insights, clinician scientists are urgently needed to shape and drive 21st century health care.
