No images? Click here Dear friend, We hope this message finds you safe and supported during a difficult and uncertain time for Israel and for so many around the world. As we approach Passover, we do so in the shadow of a war with Iran, amid global tension and rising antisemitism, and more questions than answers about what lies ahead. And yet, here we are, preparing to sit down and tell the oldest story we know about walking through uncertainty toward something better. Perhaps that’s why this moment feels especially fitting for the kind of conversation the Seder invites. The Seder table has always made room for both pain and possibility. Building on that tradition, the Freedom Values Spark, an M² resource, takes you on a journey exploring the value of freedom through music, texts, art, and questions, helping to make this year's conversation one worth having. The journey begins the way all good things do, with music. Dolly Parton, Al Green, Meir Ariel. Put it on while you clean. Next, we offer you an array of freedom images. Pick one that says something about what freedom means to you right now, this year, at this moment. Put one at your seat at the Seder. Or everyone's seat. Sit with some texts. Adrienne Rich knew something. So did the rabbis of the Talmud. So do you. Make something. Pirkei Avot points out the relationship between freedom and engraving. What freedom(s) are you committing to this Pesach? What are you willing to engrave and hold onto? Freedom gives us the room to be better, but ask yourself: Better at what? And for whose benefit? That's a conversation worth having at your table this year. May this be a year of freedom and fulfillment for all people. Chag Sameach! The M² Team Looking to engage your Passover Seder table?
