NEWS UPDATE17 January 2025 Publishers noteA not-so-busy week for Marine Business News, with most of the team out enjoying some down time. Our planned week of fishing has been cut short with storms coming through the mid-north coast of NSW, where we are currently holidaying (well at least I am). While a bit of rain normally doesn’t deter us, the storms and lightening have kept us in-doors. This week came the news that SCIBS supremo Johan Hasser has decided to step down after 12 years at the helm. The announcement refers to a transition while a recruitment for a suitable replacement is underway. In the meantime, Senior Events Manager Corey Rattray-Wood, who has worked closely with Johan during his tenure, will lead the team. Best wishes to both Johan for his next chapter, and likewise to Corey during this very important pre-boat show period for both SCIBS and SIBS.
